Oberlin Mannville CBM/NGC Study

An integrated Geological and Engineering Study in Section 10-038-21W4 & Surrounding Area

United Oil and Gas Consulting Ltd. has undertaken a comprehensive study on this dry Mannville CBM in Oberlin field. It is based on all available public domain data.

The study reviews the geological and engineering context for the dry Mannville Coal and addresses such questions as:

  • What are the regional and local depositional and structural considerations?

  • What is the full core description in the project area?

  • Where is the source of gas production in this area?

  • What are the key conditions for this play type?

  • What factors make these wells good producers?

  • Are all the recent wells in section 10 likely producing from the Mannville coal or from other zones?

  • Are the remaining horizontal targets likely to be good producers?

  • What is the gas in place and drainage areas for all the wells?

  • What are the expected forecasts for these wells?

3D maps included are structure, isopachs and coal rank distributions. Additionally, the study includes core description, horizontal well profiles, wireline logs and trajectory profiles for wells in the subject area. Detailed evaluation of calibrated gas in place is presented with expected drainage area and recoveries.

Several man-months of United’s quality geological and engineering experience and technology have culminated in the above study. Extensive research and analysis by our technical staff have unraveled the story, to build accurate models and arrive at reliable, meaningful conclusions. This study is a time saving tool for understanding the CBM/NGC play and to get a business edge on the development of this resource.

The study is available on April 15th and can be obtained from United at the cost of $10,000 plus GST (Additional copies are $5000/copy).
