S.M.A.R.T. Geo-Navigation
Level: UOGC
304 Advanced Level
Length
of Course:
1 day
(9:30 am to 11:45am; 1:15 to 4:15pm)Format: Hands-on (NT Workstations)Prerequisite: UOGC 303
Objectives:
A follow up to the advanced level course on the ‘Build
Environment’ module of S.M.A.R.T. 4D Modelling, a PC
based software application. During this hands-on
training course, clients will gain the skills necessary
for while-drilling incorporation of data for vertical
and horizontal wells and sharing of results in a Network
environment. Just in time mapping and
characterization allows for the reduction of operations
costs through reduction of cycle time while-drilling.
The objective is to design and drill wells that improve
the odds to stay within the zone of interest in the
sweet spots.
Target Audience:
Petroleum professionals in any, or all areas of:
geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir
engineering.
Description:
-
Reacting to new trajectory data
-
Showing logs along the hole
-
Prognosis vs actual trajectory while-drilling
-
Incorporating porosity from cuttings and LWD data
-
Running the S.M.A.R.T. Build Environment to re
characterize the reservoir
-
Re-visualizing
pre-drill and new results
