S.M.A.R.T. Visualization

Level:                              UOGC 203    Advanced Level
Length of Course:
      1 day  (9:30 am to 11:45am; 1:15 to 4:15pm)
Format:                     Hands-on (NT Workstations) Prerequisite:                  UOGC 201

Objectives:
Advanced features of S.M.A.R.T. 4D Modeling will be introduced which expand on the introductory level visualization/graphics course.  Such advanced features include methods that are specific to 3D seismic data integration and production data mapping in 3D. Clients will also be trained on image wrapping; this will allow an enhancement on basic 3D views.  In addition, clients will gain the skills necessary for creating horizontal well prognosis and up scaling applicable data to flow simulators.

Target Audience:
Petroleum professionals in any, or all areas of: geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, drilling, production, land, divestiture and acquisition, as well as management.

Description:

  • Advanced features include merging of 3D zone maps

  • Matrix calculations (zone to zone, surface to zone, and surface to surface)

  • Up scaling to simulation

  • Statistical functions

  • Prognosis generation, etc.
